My best friend and I have a sneaking (if perhaps judgmental) suspicion that no one actually likes snickerdoodles as much as they claim to. We think that it’s just one of the only cookies that people can name. Off the top of your head, how many can you name? Chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, Christmas cookies…. snickerdoodles. 

And they’re not bad. I have nothing against the snickerdoodle (Sarah’s are better than Maria’s, though). I just think it’s annoying that every human ever thinks their pick is so special and unique. You’re a special snowflake just like everybody else. You know how many people have said to me, “Oh my goodness, snickerdoodles??? Those are my favourite!” ?

Literally every time I make them. 

I suppose I’m just being snobby at how bourgeois everyone else is, enjoying memories of their beloved childhoods. How gauche. So take me with a grain of salt here. But maybe evaluate if they’re actually your favourite cookie, or if it’s just the first one you can think of. That has a fun name.
